Thanks sedgy. What would you say is more physical demanding?

I am confused, they seem to pay the exact same. British Gas engineer earn £29k + extras.

I work for a company that also employs gas engineers and i would say the pay is about the same.

Not much!!! All i ever see them do is stick in their flue gas analyzer and take their combustion readings.

    Re: Refrigeration VS Gas ENGINEER

the qualifications for gas engineer < mains gas for heating< starts off with a gas safty ticket, after you pass another 24 < tickets< each one for each individual type of appliance, you are deemed to be fully qualified < well thats 10 years ago<
going onto phisicly demanding work must be stripping down large westinghouse water chillers where the smallest part of the casting the ameture cover was 20 stone yes lifted with a winch but still heavy work .
