Thermoelectric refrigerators
Hi
I am currently working on my final project at university and am looking into using a peltier device to create a thermoelectric refrigerator similar to that found in a wine or beer fridge. Does anybody know why this form of cooling is not used in kitchen fridges rather than just on this small scale? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Adam

Re: Thermoelectric refrigerators
Because it is not really efficient. See the thread about cooling a vivarium, I posted a PDF in there about TECīs. I also posted some pictures of a wine chiller setup.
