    Re: Trane Chiller Problem

    Thanks for your replay,
Few days ago our main problem was the chiller unit is tripping frequently, we didnt have any manual to access the fault, now with the help of this forum we have the manual, we can realize the problem, but what will be our steps now?
Details problem you can find out from my another post (Heading: problem with Trane chiller)
Our problem: Such as a set point B 02 (Hot water outlet temperature setpoint), B06(Operating mode) showing no value,E 09( evaporator water inlet temp.), E10(Condenser water outlet temp.), E11 (Condenser water inlet temp.) showing no value.

B02, not relevant unless it is a heat-pump
E09, sensor may not be installed, not a problem as it controls on outlet temperature only
E10/11, not relevant as it is an air-cooled chiller.

Are you actually showing a fault on the controller?

    Re: Trane Chiller Problem

    i am confused!
Ckt 1 evaporator pipe is always hot, but ckt 2 evaporator pipe become hot for sometime but not as much as hot like ckt1.
i know ckt2 start only when ckt1 is not capable, but why its evaporator pipe is not so hot like ckt1.
And if i touched evaporator coil i can fill negative air pressure or air entering through the coil but in ckt1 evaporator coil there is no such of fillings….why?

Bashir, here's a direct link to the IOM (manual) for the chiller.
    http://www.trane.com/webcache/rf/scr...e_05011999.pdf
Also here's a link to the IOM for the SMM controller:
    http://www.trane.com/webcache/rf/scr...e_05011999.pdf
If you can't fix it with these manuals & your own fridgie skills, then I'm afraid it'll be something that the local Trane service department will most likely need to fix.

Niether evaporator pipe should be hot when running.
This machine is a chiller, i.e. it cools water, not air. So I think you're feeling air through the condenser.

Mate, I'm sorry if this sounds condescending, but if you know so little about the machine you're trying to fix, I'd really recommend you get Trane in to fix it. I'd hate to hear you'd badly injured yourself through a misunderstanding.

Sir, we have other chiller unit & lots of engineer to fix problems. But no one is interested to fix this problem.
Basically the system is running well, ckt1 never shows any problem.
Problem with the ckt2, it tripped several times in a day due to #High pressure or # low refrigerant in that ckt. We charged it once then for two months it ran well, without any problem, but now it showing the same problems again. Maybe leakage present in that ckt. And tripped due to high pressure because of evaporator fines jam!
Train local is presently not available in Bangladesh…………..
We can take help from others (third party), but I want to clear it myself, as long as I am not asking actually I am not learning. Its a problem but also an apportunity for me ...........
    Thank you Sir……….
