    grasso oil pressure



    HI guys got a grasso to see ,the oil pressure seems low,about 33psi less 12 suction so around 20 psi,how can i increase it ,washers behind spring maybe[its got new oil and filters.

    Hi Cadwaladr
    It does depend upon what model comp you have.
    But on a lot of them 21 psi is the required pressure.
    If you can say what model it is that would help.

    its a 4 cylinder,last 3 digits are 111,maybe c3111 not to sure till later today

    That will likely be a RC 3-1-11
    Which is a 2 stage machine 3x LP 1x HP.
    1.5bar (21/21.5 psi) is the expected
    Oil diff.
    There are lots of options as to what could be causing your problem.
    1 of which may require inspection of the Oil pump.
    Are you getting a good oil return ito the crankcase, as viewed through the oil level sight glass?

    Back again for a quick reply as I am on my way out the door.
    You could measure the existing oil press relief spring which should be 1.25mm.
    It may be compressed more than preferable.
    Also muck behind the ball can cause problems.
    Check them both out.

    thanks for that info,the machine is operating ok at the moment i think it will be monday before i get to grips with it,the guys who work there are sure it used to run at 3 bar,minus the one bar suction but i cannot be certain .
