glycol chilling in dairy
dear friends... im a graduate student n my research is based on glycol chilling of milk. cud u please help me with some information about milk cooling systems, especially glycol chilling. Plzz provide some links or articles.

I think if you found articles or any other information on secondary refrigerant systems cooling liquids, you would be in right ball park. RETA course 2 talks about secondary systems and the use of 2 and 3 pipe systems. The use of propylene glycol is due to the fear of ammonia contaminating the dairy and the food grade rating of this glycol.

Your replies are really valuable for me. Can you please guide me to some book, article or website where i can get some diagrams, engineering formulas etc. for a cooling system that uses glycol....
