Kyoto 762/43 working but not cooling
I have a 10 year old Iceland Kyoto Deluxe 762/43. Overnight Saturday/Sunday the freezer started to defrost itself. I figured it needed it, so defrosted it thoroughly yesterday and cleaned it out before switching it back on.
Now, the light is on, goes out when the door closes, it's humming away nicely, the radiator at the back is hot, but 24 hours in, there's no sign of freezing in the freezer, and the fridge isn't cooling either- in fact the interior seems to be warmer than the exterior, and is definitely warmer than the freezer.
So, is it dead? Or does it just take a *very* long time to get to speed? I can't see anything visibly wrong with it, and so the thought occurred that maybe it's lost the coolant gases - but I'd have thought that would have produced a noticeable stink, and there hasn't been one.
