    desuperheater issue

    Hi sirs

As I know ,the desuperheater is used to removing the discharge superheat. If the desuperheater oversized, how about the affect on the series condenser ? I think the desureheater can bring two-phase refirirant flow to the condenser and cause distribution problem or others.
    Hope your comments. thanks!

with Chinese Tiger year best wishes

    Hi LC,
Have you done any experimental tests on the de-superheater / condenser series configuration?

    What did your results show?

    Re: desuperheater issue

You are right about the 2-phase flow.

As to distribution at the condenser: You can certainly cause issues though distribution would probably not be the first.

The management of charge and its availability to the evaporator is usually the first thing to go fuzzy when you add heat rejection on the high side.

But operating at low discharge pressures often causes lubrication issues too..Though not fro the same reasons as the refrigerant charge issues.

Read up on Head Pressure control from the Control Valve folks; and then Heat Recalim from the same...Also Oil Return and Oil Separator from those who make small vessels.

I see your point. To keep a proper head pressure is the important isue.
