not cooling
hi all,
I went to look at a job yesterday.
A single split, unknow make. e2 error and condenser frosted up but was heating the room.
On cooling the blower was coming on but not cooling and compresser not starting.
heating was showing 18 bar and cooling well standing was 6bar.
its on 407c. Am i right thinking it a lack of gas (leak test, fix leak and recharge)????
thanx for any help on this

Re: not cooling
Im not the most experienced on here, but you will get frost building up on outside unit. It should however go into a defrost every so often to clear this. Also different units have a diferent minimum ambient temp for cooling. What was the outdoor temp? You say it was heating the room what was the air on and air off temp of indoor unit? How long did you wait when you switched from heating to cooling?
