Three phase motors (project)
Hi guys. I m in a bit of bother reguarding a project i have to do on three phase motors reguarding refrigeration and speed control. It can only be 2000 words but with such a massive topic i dont even know where to begin. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated (maybe and previously composed project).

Re: Three phase motors (project)
Hi,
Keep it simple :
1/ If 3 phase is available on site - always use it because it is generally speaking more reliable, and certainly more energy efficient.
2/ Control of motor speed on 1 phase motors is notoriously complicated and expensive, and can be much more easily achieved with 3 phase motors - reasons for this can be found on internet.

Re: Three phase motors (project)
The best use of VFD's for refrigeration control that I have seen is on the Frick Vyper controllers. Saves mega kWh when condensers and controlled as well.
