    50kg Blast Chiller

Can anyone recommend a 50kg blast chiller please?
Fosters and Williams prices are above budget, and i don't know of any other makes in this size.
    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Why not make one yourselves in PU panels, like found on www.isobar.be , mount a big evaporator in it and a compressor. Eliwell, Dixell, Carel have special controllers for this.

It will cost you a lot less then pre-made units.

PS, 50 kg blast chiller, what entering temperature has the product, cooling time and desired end temperature?

    Good idea Peter.

    I like your attitude.

Also, if you use a speed contoller for the conveing belt, out temp of the product can be controlled.

    Thanks Richard.
    I tried my local dealer.
OUCH!!!!!!!, on the telephone i must sound like a piece of ass meat, waiting to be beasted.

Retail £6866, special price for me, £4806.

Looks like i'll be buying the Williams then.

    Thanks for the help anyway.

    Re: 50kg Blast Chiller

    Special price 4806 £? or +/- 8400 €
What compressor is on that cabinet eggs? Something around 5 HP?
    Well, a cabinet with door for 3 x 4 x 7 ft will cost you +/-1.000 Euro, unit 1800, Evaporator 1000 €, switch cupboard 1000 € and 800 € to make it (on which you will earn then even on that amount) = +/- 6.000 € to 6.500 €
It's then made like you wish it has to be made.
