    Beko FF too cold

Beko CDA653fw "frost free" stopped working 2 weeks ago. have replaced thermostat control and defrost timer, machine working but both fridge and freezer compartments running too cold. Can it be the ELTH stat on the heat exchanger? It has 4 wires, 2 blue closed circuit, 2 whit OC. is this normal?

more than likely you have continual run from incorrect wiring connections or the configuration of the replacement parts are not the same as original.

wiring is as per original (took photographs before changing so didn't get mixed up, plus timer can only go one way). Stat cuts compressor on/off, just fridge sits at 0 to 1 deg C and frezzzer is -30 deg C approx. Wondering if defrost heating is possible cause. Timer switches power to circuit, fan cuts off, comp cuts off, draintray heater works but dont think evap coil heater is cutting in. Measured resistance of 320 ohms across heater connections so think this is OK. Back to the safety stat (ELTH 261n 4 wire assy), cant find out what the readings should be but think 2 blue wires are stat and 2 white may be thermal fuse. As mentioned 2 blue are SC, 2 white are OC. Help!!!

i would say that that the stat is out of range,if you had defrost problems i would expect that the temps would be warmer

if the stat turns the compressor off when you turn it to zero then you have wired it correct but did you push the capillary pipe all the way in the tube where the old one came out. if it's not all the way in it wont get as cold as it should, leaving the compressor to stay on longer

Thanks guys, mucked about with stat a bit more and did indeed get the capilliary further down tube, this helped somewhat. Still switching at min caused fridge to be at about .2 deg C so adjusted screw at Switch position for sensitivity of switchover and this gives me now an average temp in fridge of 3 - 4 deg C at min setting. Happy with that so maybe replacement stat was slightly out of range as well.

Thanks again for all advice, will be back in touch in future coz site is excellent for help people with limited knowledge(sometimes a dangerous thing ehh. LOL)
