Third world refrigeration concept
Hey,
I'm Mark, I am a design student in Ireland, I am currently designing a refrigerator for third world dairy farmers for my final year project.
The concept I have uses a working fluid that is heated and used to help move the refrigerant around the system. The working fluid I had intended on using was water. But as many of you will know when water reacts with refrigerant it creates a corrosive.
So the questions I have are:
1. Is there a liquid that I can use that has similar properties to water i.e. has a boiling point in between 50-120 degress Celcius that will not react with refrigerant?
2. Is there a non flammable and safe refrigerant that can be used that will not react with water?
Thanks a million for your time.
