Smile iarp ABX400pv - replacement compressor?!

I have an iarp ABX400PV chiller that needs a new compressor. The model that is in the chiller is a Necchi ETR 5T (R134A). I am told these are no longer put into these models and I can find no information for them. Ive been told iarp now use embraco and that an embraco EM50 HMP will be fine to use, but again I cant find a supplier for this part.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi JDee,

RPW sell embraco compressors and have a EM50 HNP in their catalogue. Note this N and not M as you stated.

Its about £90, but my catalogue is out of date. I'd tell them what necchi you are hoping to replace, that way you get a second opinion that it is an equivalent.

    Noooooooooo of course not.

Part from the fact in 2008 we did about 69 compressor changes in scotland alone.

The foster compressor saga was a problem worldwide ending up in many many replacement compressors. Im not sure the mighty foster are worthy of there green badge and eco image!

i would use either embraco ( very reliable )and well priced . or a l,unite not so cheap but very reliable . stay away from acc , electrolux they are CRAP . we wont fit them anymore . nothing but trouble

I totally agree with the acc comments iv experanced the problems many amny times before.

We stay well clear off the no matter that price these come in at.

I think foster are worthy of the eco green etc etc but someone thought that being greens comes cheap ie ACC compressor's but unfortunatly this doesnt happen if this was true every manufacturer would be jumping on the green eco queue.

Everyone is trying to get the cheapest materials they can get a hold off.

Foster have now went back to Danfoss and l'unite which is all good now not soo many compressor failures now which i suppose is good for the name but not soo good for the service departments

yes . all the local council work we do ( schools ,cooleges etc ) have gone back to foster from williams . the new fosters ive seen have danfoss comps . the williams fridges / freezers have made us loads of work over the last 5 years , replacing the cheap and nasty elco condensing motors they fitted .
