    'emergency' operation on Daikin VRV

    Good evening gents,

Been working on an old R22 'K' series VRV.

    model: RSEY10KJW1.

Having problems with the inverter side of unit; inverter comp seized.
So, I've set the 'emergency' switch to on at the main pcb. Set all 7 fan coils to heat and ramped the temperatures up to 32.
Unfortunately the VRV does not want to run. No fault codes showing on R/C's.
I powered down the VRV prior to using the emergency switch.

As far as I know, this should be the only adjustment required to operate the VRV on standard comp.

    Any other ideas?

    regards,
    Jase

Re: 'emergency' operation on Daikin VRV

    Hi Jase,

That unit will only operate in emergency when all indoors are thermo on, are you 100% sure that all connected indoor units were:
    1/ Switched on
    2/ Set to heating mode
3/ Set point increased to ensure thermo on

If the unit still fails to operate, check calibration of the outdoor ambient thermistor (Th1).
