Pay rates in the UK
I am a refrigeration mechanic in oz and i am looking to move to the London at the end of 2010. I was wondering what the job situation is like over there and what is the going rate for a technician with 10 years experience within the commercial sector.

If not: rates of pay are irrelevant

hi, get your safe handling up to date, prove yourself within a company , you should earn between 30 - 50 k with o/t as a refrigeration engineer, not sure on a/c

Is the 2079 the safe handling course because if it is i will be atending that once i have got to the uk.

Yeah, Uk pay rates are crap you are better off staying where you are as the pay works out to around 45k - 65k Aus dollars a year inc overtime.

UK pay rate is at least better off than Asian country pay.

hi halls engineer the pay rate here is far better than down under if you work with the right company, a good fridge engineer will earn 50k which equates to over 100k auzzie dollars.
i work with 2 auzzie engineers who love the pay here !
