    Re: tesco

Roll on the summer, whoever thought that sticking packs on a Tesco roof was a good idea needs a great big snowball shoved right up their poophole.

I have had a sheltered life and i need to be sheltered once more.Thats a bit

Might not last another 3 weeks but getting to work on the shopfloor is something to look forward to.
If it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.

Cant please some people. Hot water bottles up there in winter are to keep engineers warm, and the garden sprinklers we have to put under the condensers in the summer are to keep engineers on the roof cool.

What more do you want !!!

    Hi Colin G,

apparently Tesco are going down the Transcritical route rather than subcritical / cascade that M&S use.

    Should be fun! fun! fun!

    Re: tesco

not worked on transcriticle but i believe a transcriticle will employ a system where c02 is compressed and is the only refrigerant where as cascade will have a primary refrigerant such as propane or r404a chilling the c02

    Re: tesco

Transcritical is operating above the 73Bar critical point (you cannot condense the gas above this point, only cool it!), sub-critical is below 73Bar.
I beleive Tesco use a cascade off the HT packs to run the LT packs, both systems are Co2.

    Re: tesco

The way the temperatures are in the UK, you will be running Trans critical systems as sub critical systems anyway. In the mean time spare a thought for your antipodean cousins who are "suffering" in temps between 24°C and 32°C. Its costing a fortune in sunscreen at the beach!

Yeah there is a fair amount of traveling but we do a massive amount of travelling as it is.

Only thing is we are tendering for an other big contract just now and i think this would put us over the edge

    Hmmmm bugger
