    Restriction in high side.

If you provide more data you will get more precise answer.

As Nike said - restriction on HP side. Blocked check-valve?

Alternatively, if condenser fan stopped - no cooling. We see this in heat-pumps, if the condenser water flow is turned off, for instance.

has it got a CPR fitted ?[crankcase pressure regulator],if it has try ajusting it to set the back pressure and that will in turn control the discharge pressure.if not fit one, obviousley dont restrict the overhall duty required.

Re: Discharge pressure going very high in few seconds

30 seconds is a long time, partially restricted is more likely.
Too much refrigerant will get you high head pressure.

you did not supply any details on what your machine does and the operating and control procedure so trying to guess is like playing darts...

Please try to bring us a better picture of the system.
    Photos always help.

Chech to see if non condensibles are in the system.

no question is stupid but how can you check if there are non-condesable in the system? Is there a trick, I would like to be enlightend and I am not sarcastic at all, ty.

If you have non condensables, they sit in the top of the condenser, stopping flow of the refrigerant to that part of the condenser. So you tend to find that the Top of the condenser is "cooler" than the rest!

Shut the machine down let it equalize to ambient temp and with P/t chart take readings from gauges should be same as ambient if no non condesibles present
My wife used to say you never listen to a word I say at least I think that what she said

    Hi
Another trick with non condensibles is a portable purge unit.

We have 1 which we put on R123/R11 units to aid purging after nitrogen tests or units purge defective.

It is suitable to work on most refrigerants and is pre programmed in the software.

Depends on size of unit and access points available.

More details on the system is better. It could be anything.Restriction, non condensible, lack of air flow etc.

first of all you check your condenser it my be scaled. descaled it from descaler. if your condenser is water cooled then you can applay this mathod.

Leave him guys, one of the so many who come here, asks a question and never come back.
I call this lack of elementary good manners.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
