Engel Evaporator coil

Hey Forum

I am only new, and this seemed the best place to ask a question.

I have an ENGEL portable refrigerator that has a leak on the evaporator coil.

Does anyone know how i can repair the white plate coil? Or should i try and source a new coil?


I have never had to fix a plate coil bfore and am scratching my head as how to approach it

try emery to remove oxidisation and paint,wash with a solvent that leaves no traces like shellite,cut aluminium foil into pieces that gradually get larger,mix up two part araldite and do like sarah lee does and build it up layer by layer 6 or 7 or so and apply a slight vacumm whilst curing.consume a 24 pack of your favourite lubricating fluid,whack some nitrogen in it say 10% above refrigerant pressure on a hot day,if it lets go you havent cleaned all surfaces properly.it works even with radical temp changes ive found.thats what happens when you work in the country and money is not prolific let alone parts availability.
my apologies for the bushie job but maybe 1 in 10 has failed if that.
