Question R134a in car air conditioning

Why we use R134a in car air conditioning. What is the reason for not using R407c, R410a or R22

Probably because it was the next best thing at the time.

    R407C, too much glide.
R410a, not available at the time of R12 phase out and also pressures too high.
    R22, short shelf life.

Not long before r134a will be extinct.
production of new cars will stop uing it in 2010 and will likely be replaced by r152a,http://http://www.icis.com/Articles/...out-corre.html

Or anything else like CO2, 1234yf and all other sorts of exotic gases.

The answer for me is : why not?

R-134a was the replacement for r-12 with a few changes in the system.

Main reason is the low condensing pressures. The same size condenser is being used as in R12
