    2079 again.....

hi all, new to the forum.

    just a quick question.

having been made redundant recently am searching for a new job . although i have gained many qualifications over the years, i havnt got that 2079 requirement.

have heard that you can sit the tests online after study. Is this qualification the same as sitting the test with a reputable organisation in house??

would employers not question a qualification obtained online?

I think you would struggle to do a practical test online

    Hi Deans.

The exam is in 2 parts, an online exam or paper exam (CITB J11) and then a practical exam.

Why don't you pop into a refigeration wholesaler (there are a few in your area) and pick up a
copy of ACR or Service Engineer( trade magazines) and look in the back. there are normaly 2
pages of adverts for centres offering the training and assessment.

    Cheers taz..

As far as I'm aware you will not get funding for the 2079.

It is a mandatory requirement so no funding is
available (unless it is funded locally using some unusual budget).
