Refrigerant needed
Hi all,
Im a design student from northern Ireland, who has undertaken the redesign of bar friges for my final year project.
One place im stumbling on is refrigerants..
through research i have came to the conclusion that a hydrocarbon system would be best. However i am a complete novice to refrigeration and may have overlooked something. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

As yet you haven't given us any information on which to base an answer on.

Re: Refrigerant needed
Like Brian says we need more information.
Why have you concluded that Hydrocarbons (Hc's)are best?
Hc's are flamable so that is one consideration.
But we need to know....
What tempreture do you want it to work at?
How large is the system?
Do you want the refrigerant to be people friendly because some refrigerants are toxic.
Have you considered Co2?
