which is the best unit?
I was wondering if anyone could advise me to which of the following units are the best, or any pros or cons you know of either of them. Daikin FTXS50G
and Samsung AQ18VBAN. They are both inverter units and it is to be fitted in a villa in Cyprus!
Thanks Ian

Daikin easily for me. I find Samsung to be a little unreliable and Daikin to be fairly good on that front. That being said I have never work on that particular model of Samsung unit you have listed.

Re: which is the best unit?
I find Daikin are expensive and troublesome (i've just spent a fortune on a Daikin service checker/analyser, due to having so many that fail). Toshiba aren't much cheeper. Mitsi elec are forever leaking at manufactured joints. I haven't worked on many LG, Sanyo, Panasonic etc:, so can't comment. I am quite impressed with the quality, range and price of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries equipment. Having installed and serviced hundreds of these over the last five years or so, i have had very few failures.
