Sainsburys co2 vision
sainsburys head man Justin King has said that all there stores will be running on c02 buy 2014.
This begs the question where is sainsburys going to find the engineers to maintain this they are on there knees just now with engineers running for cover and companies going to the wall, does this now mean they will start to pay more money to the companies and in turn they can start to entice the good engineers back from the wilderness?

Re: Sainsburys co2 vision
I wouldn't worry, somewhere out there is another sucker eager to take on the supermarkets with a " They won't catch me, I'm too cleaver for that" attitude ready to pick up the poisoned chalice and run with it....

Re: Sainsburys co2 vision
Trip to Specsavers or new hearing aid batteries required for someone;
Sainsbury's chief executive has announced the retailer’s intention to switch to CO2 refrigeration in all stores by 2030 at a conference hosted yesterday by the UK Environment Agency.
Although also;
Sainsbury's has earmarked the first 135 stores for conversion by 2014. From 2010, Sainsbury's says all its major new developments will use CO2 refrigeration as standard.

Re: Sainsburys co2 vision
I used to work with a couple of fridge engineers that served their time with a Sainsburys apprenticeship ( 4 + years), they were both getting on a bit, but very old school (precise), might be a good thing if they do recruit and train engineers, certainly an improvement on the NVQ!

Re: Sainsburys co2 vision
Unfortunately the JS heirarchy is no longer there that produced the "old school" guy's! Nowdays you would not get the same training or experience!
