Re: agencies
Hi Dom,
The first few years are not easy. I'm doing it for almost 30 years now.
It takes time, beginning of winter now = less work.
I would suggest to enter any facility in a 50 miles radius that have AC or refrigeration and introduce yourself.
Marketing is your most important tool now, maybe take some professional help on how to market yourself.
All the best.

Re: agencies
Target markets
Who are your targets ? Small shops, factories, supermarkets, wholesalers, restaurants, etc
Go visit them, tell them what you can do for them.
Print cards.
Agents? Why do you want to work for a middleman, its ok if you are a singer or an actor, not a fridgeman

Re: agencies
Relocating to a "warmer clime" wont help you as you lose sight and focus of your target.
In business you focus on your target market and perfect your aim. You try try and try again until you penetrate this market.
It takes years to develop. Start small, be a specialist, be the best.
Random "pot shots" here and there will label you a drifter and you will score no goals.Last edited by Abe; 03-12-2009 at 12:36 PM.
