Problem with freezer

Hi there,

Have just install 1 freezer and was unsure about the following:

1) Have set the defrost time but it did not activate even though there was iceing on the coil. ( It is a wired heater )

2) After the freezer has been stock-up, the temperature at the lower deck is much more colder than the upper deck. Why is that so?
Could it be the ice that form at the coil have obstruct the airflow?

3) How many defrost time should be set per day?

heat rises so it may bewarmer higher up

1-defrost timer will activate according to the presetted times
2-usually set 4 times each 15 min, however you have to observe to adjust for more or less minutes durations
3- without knowing where the fan installed to answer, however if there was ice and fan on top bottom will not be also cold , so probably there was ice but not blocking airflow for bottom cabinet
