    Mollier charts

    Hi people,

If we have to produce the above at every site vist, is there a quicker way of entering the data to produce the finished sheet?.

I had some values given so that I could plot them but the time taken was quite substantial, and this could be a problem.

    Regards

Not an answer to your question but why does your comp (WD) not follow the lines of Entropy.

The inefiecency of that comp is high??

    Cheers taz.

Have you tried CoolPack for creating your charts and plots ?

I think it is a bit suspect on Vista though.

Taz, yeah, the plotting is only just an example so we can use the charts Nvq 3. I have looked through the coolpack stuff thats how I found the chart for R134a, but they have values on there like QE and I amunsure of this?

Taz, a real compression never follows the entropy line. It follows this line only in a theoretical cycle.
Like Sparrow draw it is also not complete correct in a real life cycle.
Sparrow draw a line from the SH he measured after the evaporator to the measured discharge temperature.
With a hermetic and semi-hermetic, you have the additional SH of the heat of the windings and also the friction. So you have to draw your line of SH a little bit longer to incorporate this additional heat and then draw a line to your discharge temperature.
This line will be inclined a little bit to the left and not to the right. Do you know why?
And to be complete, you also have to add after the evaporator SH the pressure drop for the suction line and the presure drop in the service valves.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
