    Off Season Cycling.

    Hi,

I had a car that would turn on the A/C Whenever I put the car into reverse. I was thinking that it's a way for the system to always turn on even when not needed to cycle it.

I'm wondering is there any need for off season cycling? A mechanic told me that if not ran for a long time, O-Rings will go dry and leak, but i'm not sure about that. What about the compressor shaft seal?

    Thanks.

It is good to turn your compressor over occassionally in a car, a car vibrates a lot, this vibration can cause 'Brunelling" a flat spot on potentially many points,
