de-super heaters

im a trainee and im trying to find out all i can about these de-super heaters....
dose anyone have like an idiots guied to them?? or explain what they are what they do?

i am new to RE. i have a problem with my copeland compressor motor winding. model no d6rl2-2500-awm/d. can anyone help me. i want to get the motor rewound. thank you.

Does this compressor have a de-superheater perhaps? If not, then you are most likely in the wrong thread.

What i am going to say is not 100% factual, but enough for you to understand the basics.
To turn a low pressure gas (suction on a fridge system) to high pressure gas (discharge) you require power, this power ends up being heat, the discharge becomes highly superheated "hot" (sensible heat). A de-superheater, is a heat exchanger, that removes this sensible heat from the refrigerant, adding it to say water (heating the water) free heating!
How ever, you need to careful when selecting the heat exchanger, many now a days, select on the water heating side, and overlook what happens to the refrigeration system (I see to small heat exchanger installed where the head pressure increases, driving up input power and reducing net refrigeration effect)

What sort of help are you looking for?

Why not take your compressor to a compressor rebuilders? they will be able to rewind it for you and check it over mechanically.
