TREV - Temperature Responsive Expansion Valve
I recently came across a writeup on the Sporlan Y-1037 Temperature Responsive Expansion Valve. It looks to be an interesting concept.
I would appreciate feedback on members' experiences - good & bad - with the TREV.
A few questions:
1. How well does the injected 2-phase mixture mix with the evaporator discharge?
2. Is a special injector required?
3. Is a suction accumulator required?
4. Do electronic versions of the TREV exist?
Thanks folks for your comments.

Re: TREV - Temperature Responsive Expansion Valve
Thinking Prof Sporlan could tell us all about this, but haven't seen any of his posts for quite some time.

Re: TREV - Temperature Responsive Expansion Valve
Thanks, Gary.
I think Prof Sporlan is still around. I met some folks from Sporlan Singapore a while back & they were in communication with him. Perhaps he's just not active on RE?
Pity, as some of his earlier posts were stunning.Engineering Specialist - Cuprobraze, Nocolok, CD Technology
