Orifice selection
Hey mates!
just wanted to know what are the basic principles for orifice selection in refrigeration systems.
i'm googling some info but no specific luck.

When selecting a TXV I follow the manufacturers' guides, such as...

I think your looking for the distributor nozzles. Follow this link and click on the "Heatcraft IOM's" selection. Page 7 and 8 has the charts for the most popular Sporlan brand distributors.

thanks so much for the links, sporlan's booklet on operation theory really was useful.
and heatcrafts manual was just what i was looking for

You can also use the Danfoss selection software for thermo/electronic expansion valves and cap tube

Here in Romania we mainly use Danfoss expansion devices and the software work's like a charm
