Re: Sabroe SAB 163 Mk1 Performance Data
For now all I can do (due the lack of more information) is give you this brochure.
Pay attention that compressor is very old. The last production for non ROTATUNE type was MK4. Also there could be a little difference on the capacitie and COP. On the ECO part the ECO intermediate pressures are different.
I hope this could be useful. To make progress is never good enough, I want to do better and better and better

Re: Sabroe SAB 163 Mk1 Performance Data
Thank you again for your efforts on my behalf. As you can see I am trying to utilise existing plant to back up an engine room running 64B Mycom and a 360kW Grasso. This machine will be used as a top up. Comes in at -28 deg C, so it will never have a high suction and will never be used as a lead machine. It has a 150kW motor at present. I note that your report has a 160kW motor. What is your opinion of the 10kW shortfall?
As for the oil cooling, I've yet to work through this aspect. I would like to fit water cooling, however the motor is the first thing to determine.
I have posted an album with pictures of this machine but I couldn't post the link here for some reason.
Thanks again and look forward to your reply.

Re: Sabroe SAB 163 Mk1 Performance Data
Mr. Ice,
First at all are you operating at 50Hz (2.960 rpm)? 2960 rpm is less capacity as you know than if you operate at 3.550 rpm (60 Hz).
Does the compressor will have ECO?
About the motor: I dont know about IEC motors (standard) with 150 kW only with ..., 110 kW, 132 kW, 160 kW, 200 kW,...for 50 Hz.To make progress is never good enough, I want to do better and better and better
