Current Overload Trip
Hi all
Have a problem occuring on site which read current overload we initialy thought the problem was due to power from the power generating company, but we tried it with generator power and the problem still arises. the setting on the UCM on the current overload settings the set configuration is 26 for 415 volts 50hz 3phase and compressor CHHN060 and running current on the compressor is 72Amps. any info will be helpfull. thanks

Re: Current Overload Trip
Are you working with inverters?
If so, the overcurrent is due to refrigerant overcharge.
best of luck...

Re: Current Overload Trip
hi meer :
current o.l couid be because of many reasons hi head pressure,, bad current transformers, bad contactor ,loose connection ,bad settings ,.
u should check the unit when runnig ,i assume that after a serious inspection of these parameters u should be able to pinpoint your source of problem.
good luck let us know how it went.

Re: Current Overload Trip
If overload is at 26amps and compressor is running at 72amps then I wouldn't blame the overload.
What should eb correct/normal running current be?Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: Current Overload Trip
If a six wire motor and overlaod monitoring one set of leads the overload should be set at half motor rated full load amps, ie 72amps FLA motor, o/load 26 amps.
Check current draw with clip on ammeter.
