    Split units - outdoor

    Hi there,

Can anyone explain why outdoor units are installed so close to the wall?

Here they are installed with 10cm to 20cm from the back wall .

There is no room for service and also there is high pressure drop for the fan.

    Cheers

Put part of the blame on the bracket manufacturers. Your lucky if you have 100mm clearance with some of their brackets. This is not even enough for ac manufacturers recommended airflows.

    Good point Imp

But who is to blame for the choice of brackets?
