    Identifying Energy Losses

    Hi..

Please help me in identifying the energy losses in the centralised air conditioning system.

I need to reduce the heat load of the total plant, either by modifying the layout or installing new applications.
I had identified air infiltration as on of the losses..please help me in finding other losses

Unfortunately we cannot see the plant or building that you are working on so it is a little difficult for us.

I find that getting up in the morning is a total energy loss..

    Hi Arun.
In the past on a particular site where the client was extremely mean with money, I had a huge saving in power consumption by reprograming the control system to totally air purge multi storey high rise at night when ambient dropped at around 3.00 am. Full fresh supply and max extract exhaust, the effect was chilling each flow slab in turn a negative heat sink, saved around 15 % power during peak summer conditions.
Problem if night ambients temps do not drop. Generally the ambient changes close to sun up. Barometric changes etc.,

    Hello.

What heat loads are - as Brian UK poined out?

Are windows prevented from letting in much of the sun radiation?
