Grasso rc9
Hi guys whats the maxium allowable oil pressure ,because i ve stripped a compressor and it has what looks like thrust problem because it has worn away the crank, and i cant see what else can cause this apart from oil pressure from pump pushing it forward on to the drive end bearing housing, any info would be helpful ,thank you

Re: Grasso rc9
Hi Ghaz.
The oil regulator (external one) is set to 1.5 bar differential between the suction and displayed gauge Pressure.
I suspect that the internal oil relief valve may be the culprit though.
