    r-134a to r-22



    Is it possible to change the oil in a med temp r-134a to mineral oil and use r-22 with out changing cap tube.

    you dont want to be converting to r22 now .it going to be phased out SOON.

    Physically its possible but it wont work.

    Why would you want to do something as irresponsible as replace R134a with R22?

    Granted, R22 has a slightly higher volumetric efficiency and therefore requires smaller compressors, condensers and suction pipework, the envoronmental consequences of such a stupid move would outweigh any benefits.
