    Angry McQuay Chiller Problem

    Newbie - 1st thread yeww. .

Having problems with McQuay Chiller ALS F 212.2 SE LN. Got 2 screw compressors - I'm trying to find the grade of oil in them - IOM Manual says to check the nameplate on the compressor but there is nothing there. I dont want to have to wait or pay for an oil sample as I need to get it running.

Daikin are being Homo's about it they said all I can do is place a Service Call because they dont have a Tech Support for McQuay Chiller... GRRRRRRR!

    Anybody Help??

    Re: McQuay Chiller Problem

If the compressor's name plate is being removed some how, you need to use the chiller model number to identify the compressor's model and then the amount of oil and the grade . Usually refrigerant oils are chosen according to compressor temperature, evaporator temperature, and kind of refrigerant used.
