How much cooling do i need?

    Hi everyone,
I need to know how much cooling I need to cool 7500 pounds per hour of cookies from 120 degrees f to 80 degrees f. I have a conveyor running 32 feet per minute and I don't need to remove any humidity, but if I do it's ok. They are relatively dry anyways. I have a space of 30 feet to add a cooling tunnel etc.

Re: How much cooling do i need?

    2800 kg/h x 2.93 kJ/kg.K x 25 K = 20500 KJ/h = +/- 57 kW + fans + losses = +/- 60 kW.

Then, 2800 kg/h at a speed of 10 m/min gives +/-4.5 kg/m belt. It seems that the cookies will be stacked on each other in a thick layer.

If you can do this at your belt speed and given length can only be said after a practical trial. Theoretical calculation is one thin, practical feasibility is another thing.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
