Theres a chill in the air

The air is getting decidedly nippy and thoughts are about the impending winter ahead.

My question is simple, given the nature of our work, how do fellow members clothe themselves during this season.

What are the best types of clothing to wear which achieve warmth whilst working on top of roofs and in the open.

I am being serious.

If you are "WORKING", i find a fleece and a bob hat is enough.
If your standing around, looking like you are in charge, you need every item of clothing you can find in your van.

Hi Abe.

Its 38C in the shade today T and jeans are fine.

I have this great witer coat I've bought in Ayr (Scotland)
Keeps you worm when its -10C out, water proof, wind proof.

I'm just waiting for it to get cold over here.

But for the solidarity, I will switch on all the air conditioners
in the house and set them for 16C.

Im CORGI Registered for cookers, room heaters and central heating boilers, so Winter is just as busy as Summer.

As for keeping warm, a good thick fleece does for me over my Polo shirt, but I do have a thickly padded waterproof if I cant avoid going out in the rain.
