    information on refrigeration and a/c qualifications



    hi all

    I have been working in ireland in the air conditioning and refrigeration trade for a number of years now mostly on installs but have a fair bit of experience on service also,but lately i have been getting it hard to find work because i have not got qualifications in the trade i have no college backround and no papers,I was wondering is there any way i could get this training and get qualifications in ireland or would i have to get a company to take me on as an apprentice.i would be greatful for any help on this.tnx

    The only way at the moment to get irish certification is to get taken on as an apprentice, it may not be as daunting as it looks, especially with your experience your pay rates shouldn't change much.

    alternative way if you or your company can afford it is to do an intensive set of courses in the uk to give you fridge handling, brazing certs.
