Capacitor under sized
I have a 575 volt single phase condenser fan motor with a 370 volt capacitor. This comes O.E.M. from Carrier. It periodically blows the capacitor,in neighbouring units too...
Any thoughts?

Re: Capacitor under sized
A capacitor must always be correct sized and even beterr oversized.
I should contact Carrier for this because this is a warranty case.

Re: Capacitor under sized
Its a run capacitor, the motor voltage is 575v.
I am wondering if the capacitor only sees one leg of the 575 voltage, which would be approxiamately 347 volts?
