Blowing fuse Carrier Optima
Hi,
I have a Carrier Optima with 8500Hrs. SHe has been running fine until yesterday.
There was an error message "Bad Fuse".
I opened the fuse panel and sure enough a 25amp fuse was blown and melted. I spent over 8 hours to see if I could trace a short somewhere and found nothing. I installed another fuse and set the box temp at 34F. After an hour she died with the same blown fuse however the fuse is not melted. By the sounds of it she is drawing more amperage then what the system was designed for. The fuse that keeps blowing is shown as "other" in wiring diagram it also shows that it is the fuel heater system. I checked all wires and they look fine. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
