What cleans a refrigerant/coolant??
I have a Taylor ice cream machine that was serviced and recharged. The result left a liquid coolant/refrigerant inside the ice cream cylinders. The technician simply told us to drain it and refill with fresh product.
Anyway, we're a little concerned as we've washed it through a bunch of times, yet the water is a little hazy and it still has a slight smell.
Is there something safe that we could run through that might help clean it further? Alcohol? Cleaner?
Thanks!!
(If it makes a difference the guy left a tank of compressed nitrogen by accident. If that's what he may have used, I have no clue.)

Re: What cleans a refrigerant/coolant??
It all depends what is in the cylinders to be cleaned out.
I can't understand why he should get refrigerant or it's oil into the food side of the system.
I would contact the techie who did the work for more details.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: What cleans a refrigerant/coolant??
Hopefully you are not talking about flushing refrigeration circuit with water.

Re: What cleans a refrigerant/coolant??
No no. Oddly the drum was filled with coolant, the top part is separate. He told us to drain it out and wash through the lines. I have no idea why the drum itself would have coolant in it but he's serviced a ton of these. Anyway, I just flushed it a bunch of times and it's perfect now.
Thanks for the help!
