    Agas stopped making R413A?

Tried to buy some R413A today from Climate centre only to be told they are no longer stocking it as Agas has stopped making it

    Anyone else heard anything?

    Cheers Jon

They have stoped making R413a -it's changed chemical structure v.slightly and is now called R49 plus.It has a grey sticker instead ;-)

They say you're not supposed to top up or mix but that's them covering their Harris. just carry on as if it's the same stuff.

Which is what I meant, which is why I said they now make R49 plus.

    Re: Agas stopped making R413A?

    R413A and R437A are manufactured by DuPont as R12/ R409A/ 401A/ 401B replacements.

R413A was phased out because it contained PFC 218 (octofluoropropane) which has a very high GWP and is expensive to produce.

R437A has a lower GWP, has a slightly better capacity and has comparible pressures + runs with traditional lubricants.

Alternatively you could use RS24 - R426A manufactured by Refrigerant Solutions which is very similar and has a lower GWP

    hope this helps
