Testo 560 faulty after only 2 hours of operation

I finally convinced the boss to buy the 560-1 kit I've been starving for since ages, (just because I had to troubleshoot here in Shanghai, some eons away from home).
Got it in three days, put the hands on, set the Easykool software up, tested the connections, tried the usb communication, uploaded, downloaded... just sweet.
Got on site, connected high and low pressure hoses and liquid and suction temp. probes (wired velcroed).
Set it to data log every 2 seconds for 30 mins, and then for more 30 mins.
Great tool, downloaded the data to the pc and graphed them.

Went to the loo, and off we go for another shot of 30 mins.
Hey stop. What's up, the suction probe is blank.
Connected, disconnected, searched for probes, reinit, switched on and off, swapped the probes.
Nothing: the analog input for the suction temperature (blue side) is blank.

This is going back to Germany as soon as I'm back to Italy.
Germans love Italian, but they don't envy them.

    Anyone with similar experience?

Sorry to hear that NoNickName, thats bad luck.

I've had my Yellow jacket digital ones (the same as the drsa1200) for over 12 months and they haven't let me down yet.

Did you manage to send them back to Germany? What was the outcome?

Replaced in warranty with a new one. No questions asked. Fault confirmed, but unable to know the reason.

MY Testo 560 blew the high side valve within two weeks from purchase. Testo UK took it back and sent the instrument back, eventually to Germany .. German efficiency got it back to me after 6 weeks of chasing up and pestering.

The pipe temperature probes are fragile and will lose their sensor tip if care isn't taken. At £80.00 a time they need to be looked after.

However, when the instrument is set up with probes etc ... real easy to see whats going on in the system.
Clients are also impressed ... don't feel so bad about charging £15.00/hr now
