Best compressors for price, and certainly are giving Bitzer a run for their money. We have fitted some 300 with no trouble as retrofits for everything from AMP to York recips, and some over priced screws.

The only issue we have had is a few oil weeps where sometimes the factory are a bit light on the thread sealant on NPT ports. We remove these and reseal each one with Loctite 577 before installing.

Hanbell are quiet and duty for duty between 20% and an amazing 60% (yes 60% !!!) less energy draw than the various recips we have binned in their favour.

If using for retrofit post works oil and drier core change is vital, as the slide valves hate copper plate and can stick after 18 months - 2 years running if this builds up, requiring a part overhaul to clean the copper and restore service. Hanbell rightly hold a view there should be no copperplate on a clean system, but retrofit exposes the compressor to unknowns from the original system, so we do this routinely now.

We would also recommend the MCS Control Zone method for slide load control. This is the most sophisticated method of slide control, and whereas some early Hanbells suffered slide valve failure, NOT on an MCS Controller.
