reusing heated water from water cooled cond.
Wondering if anyone here knows of a system that reuses the heated water from a water cooled condensor to heat domestic hot water and/or for space heating?
I could imagine ina restrauant situation having the line equipment water cooled and that heated water used to preheat the domestic hot water.

Re: reusing heated water from water cooled cond.
After condenser your water is heated already, you can use that heat anywhere you like, then after using it for heating it will go to your cooling tower, then to your condenser again.

Re: reusing heated water from water cooled cond.
i was thinking about multiple smaller systems like in a restaurant with undercounter freezers, drawers under grills, ice machines. Many restaurants are not sufficently cooled to start with and add the heat of the cooking those poor little buggers have to work hard and also deal with grease build up on condensor coil.

Think about investment costs..
Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint.

Re: reusing heated water from water cooled cond.
Sydney Olympic Pool used to use the condenser water as preheat for the pool. But there is a lot of wasted heat out there. I should imagine it would be viable to use any condenser water for heating but from my calculations R22 would have been the best. Also in most applications the condenser water would need further heating with a scroll. If this were used on buildings during the intermediate seasons it would save on the boiler use and help prevent overheating. The local Butcher would benefit with hot water at the end of the day for wash down. It's a great idea and should be more common.
