Ice Rink Specialist Needed
Looking for a reputable company to consult/Survey on our Ice rink.
We took advice and had an install last year through Roustan, who used a Middle Eastern company for the install.
1 of the two cooler unit's died, and on inspection proved to be refurbished when we'd paid for new.
We've asked Roustan to send an engineer to survey for us and report on the issue so we can take action against the installer, but they've told us they can't send anyone for 2 months !
Looks like they've had our money and run or just don't want to get involved in anything that might taint thier agents reputation...
We're a bit of the beaten track for experts in this field - Sharm El Shiekh - and need to set up a relationship with a specialist who can provide knowledge and support.
Which companies deal internationally, and have a proven customer support record?
Cheers D.

Re: Ice Rink Specialist Needed
Hi Dieter
I work as a consultant engineer for a company called Star Technical Solutions, the technical advisory arm of Star Refrigeration - the leading independant industrial refrigeration company in the UK. Star manufactured the portable ice rink plant for Torville and Dean - a unit that I have considerable experience of (I serviced and maintained it whenever it came back into the UK). Let me know if we can assist you with your issues.

Re: Ice Rink Specialist Needed
Lowcool too much testing of the Temprite beer chiller/servers will give you a headache. Suppose they were Carlton Draught.

Re: Ice Rink Specialist Needed
Thank you for the information -
Is there a link to Star's website ?
Referances we can check?
We've been bitten once by choosing a supplier blind with Roustan United, and don't want to make the same mistake with a consultant.
Being in a desert on the edge of the Sahara means we're slightly out on a limb.
Many thanks
D

Re: Ice Rink Specialist Needed
Hi, although part of the Star Refrigeration group, Star Technical Solutions (STS) operate entirely independently. We have carried out refrigeration surveys for many blue chip companies throughout the world, and have vast experience in industrial refrigeration applications, including ice rinks. I see that one of the guys has provided you with Star's web address - have a look at the case studies - they make interesting reading. My email address is pstacey@star-ts.co.uk. If you need to 'talk' directly, drop me a line and I'll do my best to assist you.

Frosty

Hello Deiter.
There will be quite a few indipendant reviews from this site re the quality and profesionalism of Star refrigeration.
In the UK ther are about 5 large industrial refrigeration companies with good reputations and Star is amongst the best of them.
Just my 2 pence worth.
Cheers taz.

To whom's post are your referring top?
Where not in the US here, in every country are different judicial legislations.
Is it slander?
Slander must be a spoken statement and here it's written and it must harm a reputation. Bot aren't true here, so....
This tone is not appreciated here and especially not for a 1st post.Last edited by Peter_1; 23-09-2009 at 06:34 AM.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
