Hotpoint Mistral Fridge Freezer Plus. Fridge won't cool
Hi
I'm after some advice. I've got a Mistral Fridge Fridge freezer plus. The fridge has stoppped cooling. I've tried switching it off for 48 hours. This hasn't solved the problem. The freezer stiill goes to -22, but the fridge stays at room temperature. I've been told it will be the board and this is expensive to fix, but since then I've seen the thermistor is a common problem. Can any give me some advice before i go and buy a new fidge??? Thank you.

Re: Hotpoint Mistral Fridge Freezer Plus. Fridge won't cool
Nobody can tell you whats wrong for sure on the internet , youve tried the free option (turning off ) but remember if you change parts yourself without correct diagnosis its money down the drain. I suspect hotpoint would charge £90 callout just to tell you the fault then more to fix.

Re: Hotpoint Mistral Fridge Freezer Plus. Fridge won't cool
On my Hotpoint mistral i found that the freezer was Ok at -21c but the fan at the back of the freezer compartment was failing to run,
This fan moves cold air up into the fridge area by way of air ducts.
The fan was not working due to the coil sensor located on the freezer coil pipe.
I brought a new coil and a freezer sensor and all is now working OK
