Cool Back Bar Cooler - Aspera Compressor - Fault

    Hi,
I have a cardinal double door back bar cooler.
The compressor has stopped kicking in when the thermostat goes live.
If you tap the compressor it will start up.
What could be a possible solution.
    Many thanks for any responses.
    Richard.

sounds like a brocken - loose wire, whatever you cannot do anything with a hermetic compressor< if all the electrics are ok< new one re-quiered

Had last week a technician that wrote on his job sheet "hit the oil seperator on the head with a hammer, so that the oil can come back". Cannot punish him, he is too honest. (had to change the wording on the job sheet).

Looks like tapping could change the refrigeration industry!

Brian_UK has been recommending percussive maintenance for some time now.

Clearly, he is ahead of his time.

It will be the tiny Aspera compressor on a back bar bottle cooler, the electrics burn out on those regularly.
